Thought Puzzles
What is the thought that is causing you pain?
That question throws people off because we always focus on the person, thing or situation that is causing our upset.
But the BEST kept secret IN THE UNIVERSE is that the ‘thought’ is our problem.
I’ll give you a quick example:
I should have done XYZ when I was younger.
That thought generates emotions that don’t feel very good. Usually things like regret, frustration, disappointment. To FEEL BETTER, and have the best quality of life, we have to work on changing the THOUGHT.
Maybe the new one is: I was meant to do it now or there is a reason my path unfolded as it did (to learn, to grow, to be there for someone else), or now is my time.
Those kinds thoughts create feelings like acceptance, encouragement, determination, maybe even excitement. And these are the emotions that you need to MOVE YOUR LIFE FORWARD.
Women will often say I can’t change the way I feel, or that would be pretending.
My answer is that (1) you absolutely can and (2) you can call it what you like.
I GUARANTEE that the change in perspective puts you in a position FAR more likely to CREATE THE LIFE YOU WANT TO LIVE.
Is it an easy once and done. No. The deeper the pain, the more difficult it might be. But it is SO very worth the effort.
It might take a little time to find the thought that feels authentic, but DO start working on it today. Write down some alternatives.
Try them on for size. At least, commit that you won’t be a prisoner of this thought forever.
