Nurturing the whisper

Few people talk about their coach the way we might mention their doctor or financial advisor. Coaching still feels like this vague, mysterious thing. There was a time that was true for me too. Until … I experienced the effect.

I wish I could bottle up what coaching does for a person. I’d put it in a pretty, little, glass vial with a swirl of colored oil - something you could dab on your wrist or behind your ear. Just a drop, and you’d feel the shift inside. A spark of clarity and courage. It would be easy. Everyone would be coming back for more.

But since I haven’t figured out how to bottle this up (just yet), here’s a bit about your whisper and the role of a coach.

My mission is to help midlife women who feel like something is missing—or calling.

Women who’ve had a whisper in their heads for a long time about something they can’t quite find the courage to make happen, or something they sense is not a good fit in their life.

Whose brains, after many years, are now convincing them that it’s just too late... or too risky... or too big of a change for this whisper inside to even be considered.

Most all of us have “a thing.” A thing we truly want, but push away.

I know that because our brains are WIRED to intensely resist what feels personal, vulnerable, or a little out of the ordinary. So we hold that thing inside.

But this whisper keeps coming back, doesn’t it? It’s a nudge that won’t go away, no matter how many times we put it back in the box.

That’s because the whisper isn’t frivolous… but the core of who you are, trying to steer you in exactly the right direction.

My guess is .. as you’re reading this… you know exactly what your whisper is.

We’re taught to tuck our dreams and desires away, thinking that the right thing is to be consistent, and realistic, and practical.

When that little ember of wanting is actually a magnet meant to draw us toward what would be our very best life experience.

Midlife is the PERFECT time to pay attention. That whisper gets louder for a REASON.

Coaching is the ‘potion’ that uncovers why you really allow the dream to be stifled, where the ‘good reasons’ to shut it down are coming from, and gives you tools to fully lean in to self-trust for where you belong and what comes next!
